Ben Turner

Ben has worked with Walk the Plank in Liverpool looking after the theatre ship, on Manchester Day and more recently as a freelance Salford Producer since we moved to Cobden Works in 2017. He has been involved in socially engaged arts practice for over 20 years and working outdoors for almost as long. His special interest is community engagement, particularly with people and groups who might not think that funded cultural activity is for them.

He has also worked with the Mcr Festival of Nature, Handmade Parade, Parklife (including co-ordinating the Community Fund), Cartwheel Arts and the Darnhill Festival Association, MCC, Manchester Mela, Alexandra Park, Royal Exchange, MIF, Oily Cart and Creative Partnerships 

Ben loves all things circular and disco-related (so 12-inch records in particular... and mirror balls)
