THE OPPORTUNITY
You will learn by doing, shadowing others and gain experience working with different teams. For example, you will spend time working with Producers and Production Managers, as well as with our Marketing Department and working on Walk the Plank’s projects. You will be supported by a Project Manager throughout your time with us.

WHAT IS AN EMERGING CREATIVE?
Emerging Creatives are people interested in working in the creative industries who are at, or near the beginning of their career in the arts.
We are looking to develop the next generation of creative practitioners, especially candidates who feel they are:
- Finding that the way things are set up is making it hard to get training or experience, or a foot in the door
- Didn’t get to University, want to go to University or didn’t complete a University course
- Not seeing people like themselves in the sector, or working in TV, film and theatre
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS
Are you:
- Interested in working in the arts, cultural events, and the creative industries?
- In the early stages of a career?
- Able to get on with a variety of people of different ages and from diverse backgrounds?
- Able to work on your own and as part of a team?
- Willing to use Microsoft Office software; Word, PowerPoint, Outlook?
- Able to travel to M6 6WF in Salford?
Finally, are you:
- Out of full-time education?
- Legally allowed to work in the UK
NUTS & BOLTS
Salary: £7,371 part time salary based on a 3-day working week for up to 6 months (full time annual salary equivalent £24,570) to support your employment and training. Paid monthly.
Length of Contract: 6 months
Location: The role will be mainly based in Walk the Plank’s office at Cobden Works, 37-41 Cobden Street, Salford, M6 6WF – you will be expected to work in the office. You will also be expected to travel to different event locations. Travel and accommodation, if necessary, will be paid for and arranged by the company.
Equipment: Laptop, equipment and training will be provided.
