Park Pioneers – Outdoor arts training for 16-25 year olds in partnership with The Whitworth
This autumn, and early 2020, we're collaborating with The Whitworth on a new training project for 16-25 year-olds aimed at inspiring a new generation of young people to get involved in outdoor arts.
We've worked with The Whitworth on previous events in the park surrounding the gallery, such as its 2016 Frost Fair, which is why we're excited about this new initiative aimed at giving young people hands-on opportunities to develop skills and understanding around working outdoors.
Working with The Whitworth's Cultural Park Keeper and experts from Walk the Plank you'll see and learn how art, culture and communities come together through a shared creative process.
With a strong focus on learning by doing, Park Pioneers is a FREE 10 week programme in two parts - held every Saturday from 2pm - 4pm.
Part 1, autumn 2019
19 October, 26 October, 2 November, 9 November, 16 November
Part 2, early 2020
18 January, 25 January, 1 February, 8 February, 15 February
If you're 16-25 and interested why not register for this great hands-on learning opportunity with two great arts organisations.
Please note that you must be able to commit to all ten sessions.
