ELEVATE is a partnership project between Manchester City Council and Walk the Plank - supported by Arts Council England and aims to support regional artists to create world-class art in the public realm.

WORKSHOP
Wed 17 & Wed 24 March,

Developing Engaging Online Sessions
with Tanja Raaste
Are you looking to gain tips and tools to move your creative workshops online? Are you struggling to know how best to do this or just don’t know where to start? Are you looking to build confidence using online platforms? If so, then these workshops are for you!
Cost: £20 (for both sessions) with four free bursary places available to those who would not be able to attend otherwise.

TALK, DISCUSSION & WORKSHOP
Tues 23, Fri 26 and Tues 30 March,
3 – 5pm GMT.
The Storytelling Clinic
with Len Grant
Session 1: Using storytelling techniques to tell stories - the challenges of each project and practical advice.
Session 2 (optional): bring your storytelling projects and gain expert one to one advice.
Session 3: practical workshop on ‘sketching as storytelling'. This hands-on session is designed for absolute beginners and no special materials are required.
Cost: £25 (for all sessions) with four free bursary places available to those who would not be able to attend otherwise.

Improving Your Social Media Presence
with Tom Quaye
Have you set up social media accounts to promote yourself or your creative business, but don’t really know where to go next? This practical workshop is perfect for those who already use social media but want to learn how they can make the most of their social media marketing.
Cost: £12 (for all sessions) with four free bursary places available to those who would not be able to attend otherwise.
Capacity: 30 places

Booking & Wait List Information
Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and there is a waiting list.

Due to the unique way Elevate is funded and run, each masterclass has an allocation of bursary funded, free places available on application to support those who would not be able to attend otherwise.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
If, after booking, you know that you can no longer attend, please contact us on info@walktheplank.co.uk and we will release your place to the waiting list.

Refunds are only available up to 7 days before the event.

Walk the Plank reserves the right to postpone/cancel the event relating to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Refunds will be available if we cancel this event.

Who are these masterclasses for?
These masterclasses are designed for artists and creatives, especially those interested in outdoor arts practice and new technologies. Priority will be given to practitioners in the North West.
