Elevate Masterclass Autumn Series 2019

Autumn Elevate 2019 – traditional art forms and new technologies

For this autumn’s series of masterclasses we’re bringing together a mix of technology and making to give you insights into some of the traditional art forms that make up the world of outdoor arts, as well as some of the new technologies that are changing the way we communicate about what we do, as well as the way we use AI and augmented reality to experience art in new ways.
We’re excited to be bringing you Clary Salandy of Mahogany Arts to explore costume making within the context of carnival, as well as Jo Pocock, Artistic Director of Liverpool Lantern Company who’ll be talking about her work and career and her extensive creative output.

On the technology side we’ll be exploring the art of effective podcasting with podcast expert Hannah Hethmon who gave a fantastic presentation at the AMA conference this year.  And we also have a fascinating masterclass with Dr Jessica Symons of Visioning Lab who describes herself as a digital anthropologist whose cutting-edge tools of trade include augmented reality and virtual reality. .
