Light Night at Burslem, Stoke on Trent and The Fiery Promenade
Installing our Fire Garden as part of a wider series of light night events to animate Burslem town centre
Five years after creating our Fire Garden in Hanley with Appetite Stoke, this winter, we returned once again to the streets of Stoke-on-Trent for three enchanting evenings in Burslem for Light Night Stoke-on-Trent.
We were really excited to be commissioned once again by Appetite Stoke to create an immersive night-time experience The Fiery Promenade, where the whole city were warmly welcomed to wander through the glistening Queen Street to experience a majestic series of fiery installations, in a fascinating feast of light and dark.
Taking place over the last weekend in January, audiences of Stoke and beyond gathered for an unforgettable family-friendly celebration, as Burslem played host to a transformative illuminated cityscape. Featuring a range of different works that included colourful projections that lit up heritage buildings, illuminated musical parades and glowing interactive artworks to be discovered in all corners of the town.
Match funded by Arts Council England and Stoke-on-Trent City Council. Delivered by Appetite in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council and the Cultural Forum.
