Marketing Manager

Closing date: 2 November 2020

Job Description

Are you a highly competent sales and marketing professional looking to make an impact?

Walk the Plank is looking for a marketing manager to work in our dynamic organisation, an arts charity with a commercial trading subsidiary.

As one of the UK’s leading outdoor arts companies, we’ve built a reputation for creating ambitious work that enthralls audiences and inspires participation, locally and inter/nationally.  From European Capitals of Culture to city centre parades, from training programmes worldwide with British Council to place making at home in Salford, our award-winning work is as diverse as the audiences and places where it is experienced.

Working alongside our creative producers, you will promote our work, lead digital communication, and maintain our brand. A creative thinker both in terms of content and your approach, your strong communication skills will help us create compelling proposals whilst ensuring that we engage authentically with diverse audiences.

You will have a good grasp of strategic marketing, and a methodical approach to achieving reach and measuring success. You’ll have an understanding of how to ensure the value of our work reaches funders, donors and other stakeholders, and how to communicate the impact our work has on others.

You may have gained your experience within a cultural, creative or charitable organisation where you’ve been working across the full marketing mix: from managing website content and social media platforms to PR and producing tender submissions.

Working at our RIBA award-winning offices in Salford, you’ll be part of the Walk the Plank team, one where everyone shares a belief in the transformative power of arts and culture.
