Marketing Communications Officer

1 x Full Time Post

Work alongside the Marketing Manager to plan and deliver the company’s core new business, marketing and communications functions.

Our HQ is in Salford and the company works regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Our marketing and communications department plays a key role in promoting what we do to potential clients, engaging participants and working collaboratively with clients to promote our work to audiences. We are looking for a highly competent marketing professional to make an impact in this fast-paced role which will draw upon a range of skills across the full marketing mix.

The role involves some travel to our shows and events around the UK and will include evening and weekend working.

ROLE INFORMATION

SALARY: £22,000 – £24,000 PA (depending on experience)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Marketing Manager
LOCATION: Salford, UK – some UK and International travel may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

Profiling, and event specific, marketing campaigns
Supporting the sales and new business effort in collaboration with the Marketing Manager. This includes co-ordinating the development of proposals and tender documents to tight deadlines.
Being a brand ambassador for the company and working to develop a strong and engaging presence.
Support and deliver aspects of the social media/online strategy in terms of reach, monitoring and data collection, and necessary communication/campaigns.
To support marketing assistants and temporary marketing interns overseeing discrete work packages programmes or supervising tasks.
Proactive and reactive press work.

Suitability

This is a small department with additional support from freelance staff, so you will need an agile approach to working across a range of different projects simultaneously. The key purpose of your role is to ensure we continue to sustain a healthy pipeline of new work and prospects, while also managing relationships we have with existing clients.
