Graphic Illustrator: one-off commission

Closing date: 11 August 2017

Job Description

Walk the Plank is just about to move into its brand new home ‘Cobden Works’ in Salford, where we’ll finally have everything under one roof – production workshops, training space, offices and communal areas for our artists, makers, trainers and staff to come together.

Just over a year ago we launched our new website and brand identity, and now that we have a new home we want to create an exciting and engaging ‘look’ to promote our new programme of Learning, events and activities for creative practitioners and community leaders that will be taking place at Cobden Works from September 2017.

To help us achieve this, we’re looking for a graphic illustrator and layout artist to come up with a suite of graphic devices to promote our ‘What’s on at Cobden Works’ communications for both printed and digital media, starting with our first Cobden Works autumn programme flyer.

This is a one-off commission with the possibility of working on other projects.  It’s a fantastic opportunity for a graphic illustrator to work to a creative brief and help develop an engaging personality for our new home, which will also sit alongside our broader corporate identity.

This is a small but exciting project and we want to work with someone very quickly, so if you’re interested in making your mark on an exciting outdoor arts company, please email tom@walktheplank.co.uk with a few examples of your work.  Closing date: 11 August 2017.

As part of our vision to be an inspiring creative presence within our local area, we are particularly interested in attracting applications from artists in Salford.
